Election services – UK Engage

UK Engage is the UK’s fastest growing provider of election services, providing award-winning electoral services to public and private sector organisations.  Servicing many sectors, including healthcare, housing and education, our unique service combines election expertise, a strong print heritage and a commitment to excellent customer service.

With over 25 years’ combined experience we provide a fully-managed range of electoral services; from consultancy, design, data management, to print, distribute, counting and reporting for surveys, ballots, and referenda. Such experience has given us the insight to carry out the complexities and anticipate the pitfalls of the electoral process, with minimum wastage of materials, time, or human resource.

Every year, we provide election services – and, where required, election scrutineers or adjudicators – for more than 500 ballots and referenda of every kind, including first past the post (FPTP), single transferable vote, (STV) and simple Yes/No referenda, carried out on time and with complete integrity and transparency.

We are well versed in providing support in areas such as commercial surveys, which many might see as a marketing function but which actually use the same mechanics as a public election so require the same skills and experience.

We embrace a multi-channel approach to elections proving traditional paper-based ballots and referenda as well as alternative ballots methods such as e-voting and SMS. This approach means we can provide the electoral services our customers needs whether they are engaging with the public, members, shareholders or customers.

Corporate Social Responsibility

As part of UK Engage’s Corporate Social Responsibility commitment we strive to have a positive impact on the environment, consumers, employees, communities and stakeholder through our activities.

UK Engage is proud to support local and national businesses and charities by donating time, money and gifts year-on-year to support worthy causes that contribute to changing the lives of others. Here are some of the projects we have helped to support over the years.

Our chosen charities for 2017 are: –

1. Cancer Research
2. UNICEF
3. Help for Heroes

In January 2017 we secured the Customer Service Excellence ‘Compliance Plus’, for our extended efforts to provide customer-focused election services. Compliance Plus means that we have surpassed the level that must be achieved in all areas to get the award and reached a higher standard in two specific areas;

  1. “Using customer insight to inform policy and strategy and to prioritise service improvement activity” and;
  2. “Interacting within wider communities and demonstrating ways in which we support those communities”

Our Commitment to the Environment.

UK Engage recognises that our day-to-day business activities interact with the environment and as a result we are committed to minimising adverse impacts and protect the health and safety our employees, customers, and the public. Some of our initiatives to ensure this commitment is upheld include:

  • Compliance with all relevant environmental legislation and regulations,
  • Ensuring we employ best practice to prevent pollution, minimise waste and maximise the efficient use of resources (materials, fuel, and energy),
  • Re-use and recycle wherever possible,
  • Training and educating employees and contractors in our environmental programmes to enable them to carry out their responsibilities.

As a responsible employer and customer we communicate, benchmark performance and reinforce this policy throughout the company and help our suppliers identify and prioritise issues for improvement, and working to a framework which continually reviews our environmental objectives.  We work with our customers to ensure we are helping them achieve their environmental objectives, as a result of this we are currently signed up to the Environmental Business Pledge.
