Election services for social housing providers

UK Engage delivers an election package that puts your residents at the heart of your organisation.

Social Housing Election Services

UK Engage works with Arm’s Length Management Organisations (ALMOs), Tenant Management Organisations (TMOs), housing associations and local authorities across the country, to provide independent governance support.

Housing providers across the country choose UK Engage to support different types of housing ballots. We conduct tenant board member elections, tenant consultations, stock transfer ballots and referenda,  ensuring residents’ views  are properly represented. Our election services offer social housing providers the opportunity to fully engage with residents, allowing them to express their views through democratic processes.

UK Engage helped Homes for Haringey to achieve the best ever turnout in an ALMO Resident Board Member election when over 47% of residents participated. It is our bespoke service that helps to achieve results like this; today we assist some of the largest providers of social housing in the country to empower and enthuse their residents.

UK Engage’s comprehensive service for social housing providers does not start and end with elections. Other services include:

  • Resident capacity building,
  • Candidate training and statement writing workshops,
  • Guidance on constitutional changes and rules,
  • Resident events and consultations,
  • Annual General Meetings,
  • Independent Chair Services,
  • Providing interview panel members,
  • Dispute resolution,
  • Support for board away days
  • To ensure that housing providers engage with their residents effectively, we offer different ways in which to deliver ballots. They include post, e-voting and SMS text.  In addition, we use these channels to send out election-specific messages to tenants, which helps to keep them fully informed.
